First woman carving

After having studied male heads now for a while, i was eager to try a carving of a woman. Although I knew from drawing that women are more difficult to portrait, since the features are softer and thus more difficult to see than in men, I was surprised about how much more difficult it was. I was happy how she turned out, and this encouraged me to try on her another way to carve hair.

12cm wide, 18cm high, 6,5cm deep. linden, waxed with colored briwax.
