this is a classical design for an acanthus leaf, however i carved it as a pierced relief rather than a bas relief as it is mostly done. the panel is small, just 18x12x1 cm, carved in jelutong, finished with a walnut stain and wax. cutting out the many tiny holes with the fretsaw was really fun !
